I can't seem to get past the error message "time error" no matter how many times I try to set the date/time. This machine was turned off for about 60 days. Ever had this problem?
Dave you battery is probably dead. Let it charge for 24 hours, perform an init clear and try again. You may have to master reset but remember you will lose the entire program if you have not already. If your battery did die your program is already gone.

Edward you can connect a text inserter to either com 1 or com 2 just program the port and make sure you have the right cable. We have connected the 5200M to text inserters or DVR directly many times.
