The SAM4s SPS-300 series has been released

The new SAM4s register has been released. This series includes 3 different models. The first is the SPS-320 which features a flat keyboard for food service and a single thermal printer. All of the 300 series registers feature an eight line LCD display making them very easy to use for the cashier and the manager/owner. The second in the line up is the SPS-340 which is the same as the 320 except if has both a thermal receipt and journal printer. Free PC Utility software is standard with the purchase of any of the three models. The third register in the series is the SPS-345 which is the retail store version of the series. The 345 includes a raised keyboard and both a thermal receipt and journal printers and works very well with bar code scanning.

Other standard features include SC Card Port, graphic logo, expandable serial ports and much more. This machine is based on the SAM4s ER-650 register system but with more features.

Is this a good register for a quick service restaurant? What would you reccomend?

Yes I would reccomend one of the SAM4s cash registers like the model SPS-520F, the SPS-520F or the SAM4s SPS-320 all of these registers are designed for food service and work really well in the quick service market with or without credit card interface.

A little off-topic but I don't see how else to raise a question to you: I've been using Sam4S 5215 with Sam52M software for several years. Each night the software gets a Z-financial and Z-PLU report. Yesterday the oddest thing happened: My financial report seemed correct, but the Z-PLU report had included data from day before yesterday! It's as if Saturday night the financial got Z'd out, but the PLU's did not. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Wistful if it did not do it again the next day it was probably just a one time deal where the machine communicated with the PC just fine to poll the sales but maybe did not get the signal to clear it. Then when you polled the next day it would have had 2 days sales. Your financial report probably got the signal as normal. If it is happening now everyday then you may have changes a setting in the software? Or the machine to PC connection is stopping before it is finished. Please let us know the results. Good topic.

Thanks for the reply. Happily, it was just a one-time apparently. Monday's poll had PLU totals that clearly had been zeroed by Sunday night's poll.

Nevertheless, annoying in connection with some PC reports that I run by extraction from the PLU polling file. I hate it when technology is non-deterministic! :-)

Glad it all worked out!
