SAM4s Cash Register Credit Card Interface

Most SAM4s cash registers support Integrated Electronic Payments also known as Credit Card Interface

Choosing Interfaced Payments allows you to process a credit, debit or gift card purchase in one step using your SAM4s electronic cash register. Transactions will be processed quickly, conveniently and securely speeding up lines and serving more customers in less time.

Integrated Credit Card Payments require an optional DataTran appliance. Dial, IP, or IP with dial backup terminals are available to greatly simplify deployment. Some DataTrans include a magnetic Card Reader and some require a card reader to be installed on the cash register
Most end-user sign up with Mercury Payment Systems and the Cash Register Guys who can provide fast, affordable, simplified deployments and complete merchant services, including free gift card processing programs.

I have a Samsung ER-5215M and I have accounts set up for my customers who purchase routinely throughout the month on their account. I enter an account (check) number that is set up to retain a previous balance (hard check), but when I add new purchases it continues each time to recalculate the tax based on the total NET purchases to date so the total of the physical invoices is different from the total on the register, only by pennies, but it is different because of this constant recalculation. Is there a way to program the check/service keys to CLOSE each purchase but continue to retain the previous balance. My 25-year old Sharp register was able to do that.

OK Hardware Girl have to admit I have not used this machine for such a thing but it should work. I do it often with the larger machines. However you are right it should not do that (I don't think so anyway) it should just store the amount including the tax from that transaction. So I looked through the program and noticed you can program the service key to calculate tax. How did you program it on page 136 program 70 N2 and N3? Maybe the answer is there? Please let me know what you find

After contacting the techs at CRS in Milwaukee and submitting samples of several errors the cash register has made in our house charge accounts, they've determined there is a problem, possibly with the programming, so they're sending the info to Korea to have it resolved. How long that takes--who knows? Stay tuned......
