Making backups is an important part of managing your point of sale system. There is no reason to neglect this task especially when it is so easy to do. This video is for making an on-the-fly back up to a flash drive, but there are other methods you should be doing as well and we will make some videos of those soon. How often you back up your system is up to you of course but the more the better. One of the reasons we were motivated to create the videos this week was having a client that just had their cash register stolen right off the counter. When they recovered it sadly it was in pieces. If you are using these systems as standalone terminals which is popular you may not have any other back up if you elected not to back up in an automated process (which we recommend). Now you don't have an excuse for not having a backup of your SAM4pos system on the SAP-6600

You never want to find yourself needing a back up and not having one. So we have created a video to show you how to create a back up on the fly using a flash drive. There are other ways of making a back up with this system and you should be making those on a schedule but in the meanwhile if you are not make certain you make this one from time to time. It's is easy to and you only need a flash drive.

New Application for managing UPC database on SAM4pos

SAM4s has released an exciting new version of their popular POS application SAM4pos. This newest version is designed for the mobile tablet and is for programming and managing your UPC database only. This new version is less than half the cost of the full version of the App your POS terminals like the SAP-630 or SAP-6600 is running. The idea behind this change came about because most users of the tablet don't use them for POS or reports, the primary use has been managing items.

Using that configuration you can easily manage prices and add new items on the fly. Instantly the prices will be updated in the POS terminals. You can do all this with never interrupting the POS terminals. If you have a really large store you can deploy multiple mobile tablets. SAM4s ER-915 are back in stock

 

The rumors are true, we have the ER-915 back in stock, least for awhile!

We currently have a decent amount of stock of this model. If you already placed your order you should be receiving yours soon. If you did not know SAM4s registers are a victim of the global supply chain issues and the log jam at the American ports. Finally a few containers made it through.
