If you are processing credit cards directly on your SAM4s cash register you like everyone else will be required to upgrade some of you credit card interface hardware to ensure EMV compliance.
To make sure no one is confused lets talk about integrated credit card on the SAM4s. If you are not accepting credit cards directly on your cash register you to not need to worry about this issue at all in regards to your cash register. In that case you should be concerned with your credit card terminal as you are not integrated. If you are integrated see the following information.
SAM4s Cash Registers and Datacap will be EMV compliant by the deadline if you upgrade the hardware. You will be needing to upgrade your Datacap and most merchant services providers have an upgrade path. After upgrading the Datacap you will be able to add an EMV enabled PinPad from VeriFone. It is all in testing right now and should be available for installation soon.
