SAM4s cash register with credit card interface

A large number of the SAM4s cash registers have the abilty to interface with credit card. Any of the SAM4s registers require a Datacap Twin Tran or similar model as do most of the Sharp cash registers. The models that interface are

  • SAM4s ER-285M
  • SAM4s ER-380M
  • SAM4s ER-390M
  • SAM4s ER-650
  • SAM4s ER-650R
  • SAM4s SPS-320
  • SAM4s SPS-340
  • SAM4s SPS-345
  • SAM4s SPS-520R
  • SAM4s SPS-520F
  • SAM4s SPS-530R
  • SAM4s SPS-530F
  • SAM4s ER-920
  • SAM4s ER-925
  • SAM4s ER-940
  • SAM4s ER-945
  • SAM4s ER-5200M
  • SAM4s ER-5215M
  • SAM4s SPS-2000
I may have left out a few of them. They by far have more than anyone else.

We recently with a new merchant services account. We are wanting to implement the CC slider into the SPS-2000 and Can't seem to find answers for what FDMS platform is a data ID# needed and is a VAR sheet required and if so where do I get it? My vendor doesn't know (who they told me to ask) and everyone else won't twll me because we didn't buy it through them. Can you help?

Shane, The SPS-2000 will in fact work with FDMS, however couple things to find our first. Do you already have a Datacap device which is the hardware that connects the SPS-2000 to the Merchant Processing platform via the card swipe on the machine. The card swipe on the machine alone really does not do anything unless you already have the Datacap. If you have the Datacap and you own it we can help you re-program it with FDMS, we would get your processor a data capture form to complete and arrange a download. If you don't have a Datacap we can sell one and help set it up. Please feel free to call me at 1-800-863-2274 ask for Dave Jr. and I'll be happy to answer a few questions for you.
