on a sams4 er-650 how can I make it not print the kp or order on the reciept, all we need is the standard reciept and not the bottom part just showing what was purchased again without prices. This seems like a waste of paper and would like it to stop.

SAM4s ER-5115II cash register, PLU button problem #15 Igot it programed by entering the 2 digit # and the PLU key. After that we tried using it and it won't ring anything in to the regtister. I get an error code of E1 but I have know way of knowing what that means, Should the register be returned or is it a program error that can be fixed and if so how?

It is printint that because you have the items printing to a KP and the register can not find the KP so it prints back at the register. The ER-650 prints to the KP as assigned to groups. Go to group programming and tell each group not to print to the KP. That should do it.

TLM, well there is quite a bit to look at here. First off, no the machine does not sound as though it is broken, just programming issues. E1 just means a mistake in entry.

I would first redo program 100 for PLU 15

Program 100 - PLU Status Programming
1. Turn the control lock to the P position.
2. To begin the program, enter 1 0 0, press the SBTL key.
1 0 0 SBTL
3. Select the PLU or PLUs you wish to program in one of the following ways:
Press a PLU key on the keyboard, or
PLU
Press multiple PLU keys that are to receive the same status, or
PLU PLU PLU PLU
Press a level key, then an PLU key, or
LEVEL PLU
1/2/3
Enter the number of the PLU (1-1000) and press the PLU key, or
PLU
Enter the number (1-1000) of the first PLU in a range of PLUs that are to receive
the same setting; press the PLU key. Enter the last number (1-1000) in the range;
press the PLU key.
PLU PLU
4. Refer to the "PLU Status Chart" on page 100 to determine the values for N1 through
N8. (If an address offers more than one option, add the values for each option and enter
the sum. For example, if you wish the PLU to be taxable by rates 1 and 3, add the
values for your choices, 1 + 4, and enter the sum "5" for address N5.) Enter the values
you have selected, press the X/TIME key. (You do not need to enter preceding
zeros. For example, if you are only selecting a value for N8, i.e. taxable by tax 1, just
enter 1.)
N1 N2 N3 N4 N5 N6 N7 N8 X/TIME
5. To program additional PLUs, repeat from step 3, or press the CASH key to finalize the
program.
