The average system is $49.00 per month for the software, plus the cost of the hardware $1149.00 ( I looked at many bundles plus the tablet) and lets factor the same $500.00 for repairs, replacements along the way just as with the cash register system. So for 5 years your total cost is $4589.00 which is $917.80 per year or $76.48 per month and please keep in mind you never own the software. Bump that up to seven years and it changes to $5765.00 total or $823.57 per year which is $68.63

As you can see a cash register is less expensive to operate and it is something you own and you don't need to continue making payments. With the Tablet systems based on subscription you never stop paying, your data is stored in the cloud and your business is dependent on a rock solid internet connection.
